We are raising young innovators, creators, and freelancers at the PLUG!


The Plug Workshop is a skill acquisition program delivered by industry professionals to empower young people between ages 16 - 19 years with employable skills in the areas of mobile app development, web design and development, video production and digital marketing.


If you are between 16 -19 years, living in Wyndham and would like to learn cool skills from savvy professionals, and turn it into a hobby or freelance to pay yourself on school breaks or a business, then join our information session on the 6th of July 2019 at the Werribee Library between 1 pm - 4 pm to have a chat with professionals and entrepreneurs who have volunteered their time to coach young people over three weeks with in-demand digital skills.


No boring lectures, just practical hands-on learning, and interactions that will help you build your first cool project and launch your career!

Skill Categories

Web Design & Development

Students are taught with current industry standard software to create and build a responsive website using the most popular front end framework for developing websites.

Video Production & Editing

Learn how to produce creative yet simple short videos that can promote, educate or entertain. Working hands-on, student will learn how to rapidly conceptualise and plan projects; equipment; filming; basic editing; and upload.

Mobile App Development

Create a native iOS app. Throughout the course, students learn the code, tools, and practices for building, troubleshooting, and deploying iOS applications.



Using cutting-edge techniques and platforms like social media, paid ads, email marketing and Google Analytics, students learn how to acquire users in a digital marketing campaign.

Learning Paths

{Hack, Fail, Learn, Rebuild}

Week 4

Students projects will be exhibited to individuals, parents, business owners, and professionals for networking and the opportunity to source their first business. Eligible students seeking to grow their skill into a full-time business will be advised on enrolling in the New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS) for self-employment support and training.

Week 3

By week three, students would have enough confidence to attempt building their first project independently. They will practice on mock projects and receive feedback from their tutors. Students progress to develop real life projects.

Week 2

Students take a hands on approach to learn lean methods to hack complex projects. They will be presented with practical methods and hacks to deploy projects quickly.

Week 1

Students are introduced to course fundamental and groundwork. They are granted access to CMS platforms and learning tools.

What To Expect

Professional mentorship and support from young and successful entreprenuers over three weeks

Build and launch your own live project at the end of three weeks

Support to get your first freelance hire within the Wyndham community

Eligible graduates of the plug workshop get free mentorship and support through the New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS) to develop your business plan and launch your own business.
