Time & Location
About the Event
The Plug Project 2020 provides an opportunity for individuals challenged with employment to receive live employer support for their skills and employment needs. In a two-days job fair, the Plug Project hosts employers with history of social responsibility employment and employers new to SRE, giving them the opportunity to understand the employment barriers facing underserved groups, share ideas on skill requirements and collaboratively work with participants and education providers to design employer defined hiring requirements into short courses such that after completion candidates will improve job knowledge, and increase their chances of getting hired in jobs matching their skills and career aspirations.
Expecting over 100 event participants over the two-days job fair, the event will kick off with HR managers, and executives from medium to large corporations talking about their diversity and inclusion programs and day in the life of employees at their companies. This will be followed by one on one consultations at employer stalls with individuals and HR Managers, mock interviews and live interviews for ready to go candidates seeking employment opportunities.
Education providers present will guide candidates on suitable course enrolments for career aspirations.
Repeat on day two with new employers and same education providers from day one.
