Facilitated by local filmmaker, Mahima Gadiyar a and guest appearance from YouTuber, Jamie Perkins.
This two day workshop will be a place for youths to learn the power of storytelling, working with groups of other young people and learn the steps to create a short film from start to end.
A free lunch will be provided.
Skills you will learn:
- Film production
- Video editing
- Networking with creative youths
- Making videos for digital platforms and engaging a wider audience
Day One (Theory):
Sunday 22rd 12:00 - 5:00 pm
- Session with Jamie Perkins - Story telling, engaging digital audience, gaining and retaing followers on social platforms
- Speakers from Young Initiators, CMY - Impactful storytelling
- Session With Mofiz Ul Haq - Sound production for background effect
- Session with film makers - Storyboarding, pre-productions and filming essentials
Day Two (Practice Session):
Monday 23rd 12:00- 5:00 pm
- Filming sessions
- Post Production
Projects will be used for the One Wyndham campaign, which highlights the postive impacts young people have on the community by showcasing real stories from the community.

Paper based forms will need to be completed prior to attending and will be emailed to the address that you provided. Youths who do not have signed paperwork will not be able to attend.
This event is co-designed by eYouth Crew from eYouth Project and Kulture Hive’s Plug Project. The eYouth Crew is a group of young creative people aged 16 to 25 years old in the Wyndham area that want to share their skills and knowledge with other community members to empower and shape the Wyndham Community. eYouth Project is part of Wyndham Youth Services funded by the Victorian Government Empower Grant.
Kulture Hive, through its Plug Project, provides alternative learning pathways for young people to learn in-demand digital skills from industry professionals and entrepreneurs.
